2022 Ayia Napa Classic car motor festival.

Lovely weather, the smell of the sea and amazing classic cars. The second motoring festival of Ayia Napa took place recently and we where there to capture some highlights in case you missed it.

The festival was organized near the Limanaki area, with a great view of the sea and in the heart of the touristic paradise of Ayia napa.

Classic cars and 50s rock

Vintage cars accompanied with some classic rock n roll music set the mood for a throwback to another era.

Walk through the gates and you where greeted with a pair of hot rods sitting next to a not so old Lamborghini Murcielago- Being the only odd ball of the event, I am going to let this one slide!

A plethora of American cars where there and it’s something unexpected, considering they were never officially imported in Cyprus and they all had to be privately imported at some stage of their lives.

The blues brothers’ statutes next to some period correct American steel make sure that everyone stopped for a photo!

Other than the statues I have to admit that a classic American car slammed on white walls with lots of chrome and a crazy paint job is a mix made in heaven.

Offerings from Europe

On the other hand some really nice European classic made their way. From air cooled Porsches and classic Rolls Royce to some Mint BMW E30 M3s.

Aircooled Porsches are always welcomed, what a timeless design !

Speaking of Germans, Mercedes-Benz where always popular in Cyprus and it did show.

Including this Cyprus-made Mercedes pick up! At least this one is not a Nissan in disguise! (Looking at you Mercedes benz-X)

Also, a noteworthy attendance was this Rolls Royce. This vehicle started life as an experimental vehicle before being funnily enough sold to Cyprus back in the day. It was then sold back to the UK before being bought by its current owners which eventually brought it back in Cyprus. Talk about destiny.
