The Honda Integra DC5 is one of those cars that do everything well, including being a daily driver. Allow me to elaborate, the DC5 is pretty much a modern car with decent aerodynamics and driver ergonomics, but it still captures that very 90s brutality we all miss.
You know what I’m talking about, that high revving gear rowing pedal to the metal feeling that only a machine with a big ass H logo on the front hood could give. So how come this monstrosity be a daily driver?
Daily driven
Well, it is a Honda! Hate them as much as you want, Hondas manage to be civilized enough to be daily driven and a blast when you want a reasonably fast toy.
Simplicity is key
As mentioned this car has daily driver duties with its current owner, thus the majority of the mods where focused on the exterior and creature comfort. As a wise man said: If it ain’t broken don’t fix it, thus there is absolutely no reason to fiddle with the almighty K20.
So the mods were kept simple, a LINK ECU which as the owner states is the only dc5 running a link ecu in Cyprus ! Was sourced to make the best out of the hks exhaust catback and Ingen intake and after the stock clutch disc gave up it was replaced with a clutch master 6 pack disc along with a k-tuned clutch pump.
Sharp looking
Upfront the owner has made some tastefully exterior additions such as Mugen carbon fibre hood topped with an angel light mod the front end looks stunning.
the opposite end of the car benefits of a roof spoiler paired with the factory rear wing dressed in carbon.
Functional Fitment
Stance is taken care of with some wide JR11 measuring at 18×9 with an et30. Wrapped around in 18/40/215 it is fair to say that they fill the arches nicely.
Lowered ride height is courtesy to some BC coil-overs which are set to their softest setting for the sake of driving in Limassol. Skunk 2 camber plates front and rear take provide enough adjustability for the car to function whilst looking mint .
Party in the back
Well, it wouldn’t be a special feature if it wasn’t some obscure with this car and lemme tell you I wasn’t ready for this.
Now when it comes to sound systems I am not an expert by any means but here’s a list of specs for you sound wizards out there. On either door of the vehicle 4×8″ spl dynamics speakers were custom moulded in. in the back a massive SPL 15” 3000w woofer takes shelter. Finally, 2x4000W SPI amplifiers provide enough juice to keep it pumping.
More to come
As mentioned this car is still an honest daily driver and it most likely will see plenty more miles! some feature mods for the car are destinated for its exterior mainly some side extensions and a front splitter.
I respect the owner that is willing to daily a car like this since the majority of people in Cyprus have them tucked away for the weekends. Would you daily one? let us know in the comments!
